On June 12, 2013 leaders and members of the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Canada (SCL) and the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) conducted separate votes whereby it was decided that these two organizations would merge to form the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA). After a year in the making, effective September 3rd, 2013, the SCMA is officially Canada’s voice and resource for networking, professional development, education and training in the Supply Chain Logistics Management arena.
Combined both associations have over 140 years’ experience and through its 10 Provincial and Territorial institutes with approximately 8,000 private and public official members and growing, the SCMA focuses and specializes on; contract management, logistics and transportation, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Strategic Sourcing and much more. Members are comprised of professionals in the Manufacturing, Retail, Services, and Government and Health Care and Education Industry. At McKenna, we have several FTE that are members and non-members and we attend as many events as possible to keep in the know about the industry buzz as it relates to Supply Chain Logistics Management.
